Growing up in Manhattan, Kansas, Cassandra always had a love for horror, which made her an outcast among her peers. At 17, she moved to Las Vegas to become a showgirl, immersing herself in the drag queen community where she learned theatrical makeup and performance skills. A life-changing encounter with Elvis Presley gave her the confidence to pursue acting, leading to roles in Diamonds Are Forever and Italian rock bands. Despite setbacks, including posing nude for photos published without consent, she pressed on, joining The Groundlings where she developed the Valley Girl persona that became the foundation for Elvira.
